The PRECI Team
Strategy, turnaround, transformation, leadership, technology, and execution.
Critical situations require more than a compelling résumé. What matters is whether people know the reality of a company from direct responsibility, can bring together different perspectives, and maintain clear boundaries.
PRECI combines three Senior Executive Partners in the field, independent mission control, and a dedicated Customer Relations contact into a solid system of complementary experience.
PRECI supports decisions. The decision remains with the company.
Executive Summary
Together, the three experts cover the full range from strategic direction to operational and technical reality. Horst brings together leadership, people, governance, and system logic. Wolfgang reviews projects, technology, development, resources, and feasibility. Johannes assesses whether decisions will hold up in the plant, production, planning, and supply chain.
As Mission Control, Karin keeps her distance from the field. She tests assumptions, counter-hypotheses, consistency, and decision quality. Sophie clarifies needs and fit, brings together the right Senior Executives, and remains the consistent point of contact throughout the collaboration.
For more than 30 years, Horst, Wolfgang, Johannes, and Karin have held responsibility for finance - from accounting and controlling to the balance sheet, including executive liability.
The roles intentionally overlap while remaining clearly separated. PRECI supports decisions. The decision remains with the company.
One umbrella. Five clear roles.
Strategy without operational reality remains theoretical. A turnaround without leadership viability will not last. Transformation without technical and organizational feasibility creates new fractures. Execution without independent quality assurance can easily follow a false assumption.
That is why PRECI brings together six fields in one shared perspective:
- Strategy: Make target visions, priorities and decision-making scope comparable.
- Business Turnaround: Consider performance pressure, operational disruptions and leadership reality together.
- Business Transformation: Bring structure, people, systems, and the capacity for change together.
- Leadership: Clarify roles, impact, communication, governance, and co-determination.
- Technology: Assess projects, development, maturity levels, and system architecture for feasibility.
- Execution: Evaluate decisions against resources, capacity, scheduling, and impact on results.

Integration, strategy and leadership
Horst
Managing shareholder and Senior Executive Partner
Executive Summary
Horst brings together what falls apart under pressure: strategy and operational reality, people and structure, leadership and governance, co-determination and system logic. His work takes place at the owner, executive management and leadership levels. He structures conflicting objectives, makes options comparable, and integrates operational, technical and quality-related perspectives into an overall picture that supports clear decisions.
Profile and impact
More than 30 years of leadership responsibility as an entrepreneur, executive and interim manager form the foundation. His experience ranges from mechanical engineering and his own CAD/CAM systems company to CxO, HR, turnaround and restructuring mandates. This includes the consolidation of an IT business unit with revenue responsibility of more than EUR 10 million, plant HR management in the plastics and chemical industries, and negotiations with employee representatives. He was named DDIM Interim Manager of the Year.
At PRECI, Horst keeps the overall structure together and is responsible for all supporting, non-productive service functions. He clarifies leadership roles, leadership impact, leadership communication, governance and escalation paths. At the same time, he assesses whether IT and system landscapes support effective decision-making and operations. His role is integration and decision facilitation.

His positions include overall responsibility for a special-purpose machinery project in Taiwan with a team of 80 employees, leading a development project for a press series across Germany and China, and overall project management for three parallel plant engineering projects.
Further experience comes from managing an environmental technology company and from leading development and design with 35 employees. At PRECI, Wolfgang assesses projects, programs, development and innovation logic for maturity level, resources, critical paths, risk and connectivity.

Mission Control and Decision Quality
Karin
Shareholder and Senior Executive Partner | Mission Control
Executive Summary
Karin ensures the quality of the overall picture. In Mission Control, she deliberately works at a distance from the field. She checks whether findings are complete, assumptions are visible, conclusions are consistent, and options are prepared in a viable way.
Profile and impact
For more than 30 years, Karin has worked where entrepreneurial decisions are made, mostly in the background and consistently as an equal partner. For more than 20 of those years, she was self-employed as an entrepreneur. Her experience spans industrial and service companies in transformation, change, and turnaround contexts.
Her Mission Control develops counter-hypotheses, separates facts from scenarios, and reviews causal, prioritization, and decision-making logic across all roles. This is complemented by sparring and mentoring for senior roles, as well as values-based diagnostics with ValueProfilePlus. The distance from the field protects against operational blind spots and premature conclusions.
Areas of impact
- Counter-hypotheses and consistency review
- Decision-making and quality integrity
- Fact-scenario separation
- Review of assumptions, approvals and open issues
- Sparring, mentoring and values-based diagnostics
